How long does the professional pizzaiolo 1st Level course last?

The course lasts 40 hours and, depending on the location, is conducted in intensive form – 8 hours a day for 5 consecutive days – or in 2-weeks – 4 hours a day for two weeks excluding Saturday and Sunday.

Is there a possibility of doing an internship after the course?

The Professional Pizzaiolo Level 1 course ends with the delivery of the Certificate. The Instructor’s potential availability to offer an internship depends on the region in which they operate and any current legislative regulations.

Is there a possibility of help in finding a job after the course?

Our profession is to teach the craft with passion and professionalism, and we focus on that to be able to do it best. We cannot guarantee work, but when we receive requests, we try to connect the demand with the supply.

Are 40 hours enough to become a pizza maker?

The 40-hour course is designed and prepared to give even those unfamiliar with the trade the opportunity to learn the basics of the profession that will allow both immediate practice in the pizzeria and the ability to start doing the work independently.

I am already a pizza maker but I don’t have the certificate, are there courses suitable for me?

Yes, Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli courses are structured to systematize the knowledge of even those who have learned in the field, or have been training for the first time for some time now. More advisable are the specialization or advanced courses.

Is there an age limit to take the course?

There is a minimum limit, which is the age of 16; there is no maximum limit.

Is there any exam to take to get the certificate?

At the end of the course there is an internal theoretical and practical examination to check the level of learning of what was explained and done during the course. The certificate with merit is issued to those who have passed the course and its final exams. Should you fail to pass it, we give the opportunity to retake the course free of charge at a location of your choice within the year, upon prior notice to the headquarters secretariat.

Do I have to make do for room and board or do you give me a room?

Room and board are the responsibility of the trainee.

Is lunch on us?

During the course you eat what you learn to cook, so…pizza from day one!
